Best Things to Do Around North Myrtle Beach in Late Winter

For anyone planning a late winter vacation to the Grand Strand area you may already be contemplating what there is to do here at that time of the year. Well, the good news is that with our weather being so mild the two biggest reasons to come to the area will always be the beach and the year round golfing opportunities.

North Myrtle Beach resort with indoor poolsIf you’re making reservations to stay in a North Myrtle Beach resort you’ll be close to plenty of activities to keep you busy – just as many as if you came during the summer months, in fact! Your North Myrtle Beach resort alone may offer a water park, indoor/outdoor swimming pools, arcades, fitness rooms, DVD kiosks, and more.

Be sure to check out nearby Barefoot Landing where you’ll have over 100 specialty shops to browse through and many fabulous places to dine. It’s here where the whole family will enjoy Alligator Adventure, one of the largest reptile parks in the world. If you enjoy live theatre and concerts be sure to look into what’s taking place at The Alabama Theatre and the House of Blues while you’re here.

You won’t want to miss visiting the home of the official state dance – the shag. Visit Fat Harold’s Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach and dance the night away! Whether you’re new to the dance or have been shagging for years, there’s no better way to spend an evening!

Fishing charters close to our North Myrtle Beach resortFor an experience your family won’t soon forget, why not take a fishing boat charter out into the deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Everything you’ll need will be supplied including rod, reel, tackle and bait, and a fishing license too. Captains of charter boats are usually very helpful and friendly and will share their knowledge and wisdom with those less experienced in fishing.

A relaxing fun-filled day can be had by renting kayaks, canoes or a pontoon boat and venturing down the IntraCoastal Waterway at your own pace, exploring the inlets and channels along the way. If jet skiing is more your speed, there are many places where you can rent those as well. There really are unlimited opportunities for having fun around North Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand area. These are just a few of what awaits your arrival!
