COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Black Bear Golf Course was designed by Tom Jackson and opened in 1989. It is located about 10 minutes West of North Myrtle Beach on Highway 9. Black Bear is a real challenge that will force you to use every club in your bag. 23 finger lakes may come into play along marshes, hardwoods and pines that will keep you on your toes. 15 different holes have water hazards. Black Bear was designed with wide landing areas. It is a classic parkland course. Its four sets of tees allow every player to choose how difficult they would like to make the course. Course Reviews:

Very Challenging
Played Black Bear Sunday, January 8 and the course was in very good condition. The greens are smooth and lightning quick with plenty of break in them to challenge even the best golfers. Fantastic weather with lots of sun and upper 60's for the temperature. What more could anyone ask for in January golf!
