Whispering Pines opened in 1960 and was designed by Finger, Dye & Spahn. It is one of the locals favorites as it is well maintained, fair to the average golfer and not highly priced. It is a traditional, classic design that is not "tricked up" like so many other courses. The fairways are tree lined, lakes are strategically placed and the greens are well contoured and putt well.
