Many people that have come to stay in our North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals in the past have commented on how clean the North Myrtle Beach area is. We’re proud of our town and beach and wouldn’t be able to keep it this way without the help of the many citizens that cared so much about the town they live in that a program was formed to educate and empower the community.
Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful (KNMBB) is a community based program that enables members of the community to improve the environment, enhance the quality of life and experience pride in their community through beautification, litter prevention, and recycling. The KNMBB committee and commission are funded by the City of North Myrtle Beach through the Parks and Recreation Department. All of the members are volunteers.
The program has received many awards throughout the recent years. Their Committee meetings are open to the public and are held the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center. If you have questions or would like to attend the monthly meeting you can call (843) 280-5673.
At Grand Strand Resorts we’re proud that our North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals are located in a community where the residents and businesses care about how their community looks. The city of North Myrtle Beach has developed a zero tolerance when it comes to litter. Their goal is to clean up the community, and they will not tolerate anyone littering. They’ve set up a litter hotline at (843) 280-5511 and encourage visitors and residents alike to call it if they see anyone littering. It’s only my methods such as this that they can education the public on the damage created to the environment when people litter.
