July is the warmest month of the year in North Myrtle Beach. The average temperatures reach 88 degrees by mid-July, while low temperatures hang out in the 70’s. You can expect every day in July to reach above 80 degrees with minimal cloud coverage and plenty of sun.

What’s the most popular activity in the North Myrtle Beach area in July? A beach day, of course! With over 60 miles of beaches, you’ve got plenty of options for your fun day in the sun.

Cherry Grove Beach is perhaps the most popular local beach destination. Home to the infamous Cherry Grove Pier, it’s a great spot for fishing, surfing, lounging on a beach chair, and delicious grub nearby. Enjoy shaded picnic tables at Cherry Grove Oceanfront Park when you’re ready for a break from the sun.

Other popular beach options nearby include Ocean Drive Beach, known for its golf courses, and Crescent Beach, a small beach perfect for relaxation. If you want to take a day trip, head to Surfside Beach for its notable waves and laid-back atmosphere.

Cool Off at Local Waterparks

Nothing screams “Summer!” more than a day at the waterpark. Lucky for our guests, multiple waterparks are nearby our Grand Strand rentals.

Head to Shark Park 843 in Little River for an action-packed day of water sports. The waterpark offers two attractions. The first is Obstacle Island, a giant floating playground complete with towers, slides, and more. Next is Cable Park, the ultimate adventure park featuring wakeboarding, kneeboarding, water skiing, and more.

Just a short drive away is Myrtle Waves Waterpark, a classic waterpark offering 20 acres of slides, a lazy river, wave pools, and thrilling rides. It’s the perfect place for a day of family fun.

Get Active at The North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex

Located in Little River, the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex is the premiere destination for all things sports.

The 162-acre park is home to multiple walking and biking trails, playgrounds, a dog park, a 25-acre lake, and more. The grounds also feature soccer fields, baseball fields, softball fields, and even batting tunnels. This sports complex is basically a giant playground for people of all ages!

The park regularly hosts live entertainment and games, so be sure to check out their events page during your visit. There’s nowhere better to get your energy out on a beautiful July day than the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex.

Pro tip: The complex amphitheater is home to the Sounds of Summer Concert Series, a free summer concert series that runs from June to September. Don’t miss this fan-favorite event during your visit.

Enjoy Live Entertainment at the Alabama Theatre

Located in the Barefoot Landing shopping complex, the Alabama Theatre is known for its incredible live shows, featuring everything from acrobats to comedy to live music.

Enjoy their ICONIC show, which takes you on a diverse musical journey from top Country hits, Classic Rock tunes, Broadway classics, and more. This entertaining show happens daily throughout the month of July.

North Myrtle Beach Farmer’s Market

This open-air market takes place each Friday during the summer months. The farmer’s market features a variety of local produce, artisan goods, hand-made crafts, and more. It’s the perfect place to support local artists and farmers while enjoying Downtown North Myrtle Beach.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series

On the third Friday of July, head to the NMB Sports Complex Amphitheater for a free show at the Sounds of Summer Concert Series. Bring your beach chair or blanket and enjoy family-friendly music, with drinks and food available for purchase.

Music on Main Concert Series

Don’t miss this free concert series that takes place each Thursday on Main Street in Downtown North Myrtle Beach. Enjoy Downtown restaurants and shopping before making your way to Music on Main at 7 pm. Bring your beach chair and enjoy live music all night long.
