North Myrtle Beach Shopping – Top Malls To Visit

Visiting North Myrtle Beach means the usual for most of our guests — beach time, great food, relaxing and spending time with friends and family. However, the Myrtle Beach area has tons of shopping options that you can take advantage of! North Myrtle Beach shopping is a great rainy day activity or a great activity to do before you leave. Retailers in the Myrtle Beach area are often only found in much larger cities, so shopping here at the beach often gives you deals you can only find in a few other places.

Coastal North Town Center (New!)

While visiting North Myrtle Beach there are a lot of places you can go shopping and find some amazing deals. Coastal North Town Center is a brand-new shopping center that was just built less than a year ago giving residents and vacationers a reason to shop local. The shopping center is still expanding today with the final stage finishing at the end of 2017.

With more than 21 stores and restaurants, shoppers will have access to stores not found anywhere else in the Grand Strand Region. It has already quickly become the most popular shopping area in North Myrtle Beach. The area features Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart, Hobby Lobby and Publix too. Burlington Coat Factory, Home Goods, and Burkes just recently opened in June of 2017 to give you even more options.

Barefoot Landing

This is one of the largest shopping complexes located in North Myrtle Beach along the Intercostal Waterway. It consists of several divided sections of stores, attractions and restaurants. It has over 100 different store and restaurants to choose from with many local and niche shops that you can’t find elsewhere.

It is a wonderful place to shop at and take the whole family with you — walk around on the many walkways present at Barefoot Landing. If you have kids tired of shopping, they can visit the Tiger Center or Alligator Adventure right next door. There is something for everyone to do here!

Tanger Outlets

This is a great place to shop while in North Myrtle Beach, it has over 50 stores to choose from. There is also a Tanger Outlets located in Myrtle Beach off Highway 501 (a short 15-minute drive). Most of the stores are outlets and they provide a lot of amazing deals on clothes and shoes. It is a great place to take the family and walk around, look at all the store, and try some fudge samples at the Fudge store.

They have stores like: Old Navy, Carters, Disney, Nike, and Bath and Body Works. They also have a food court and Italian ice stands to choose from if you’re feeling hungry while walking around. Across the street from Tanger Outlets there is a Walmart and a small shopping center that has a more clothing store options. There is a Marshalls, Ross, Kirkland’s and a Burlington. If you cross the highway there is also Myrtle Beach Mall on the other side with large-format stores Belk, Bass Pro Shop, JC Penny’s, and they have a really great movie theater! There is also a food court in the mall and a Ruby Tuesdays next to the book store.

Coastal Grand Mall

This is a super-sized regional shopping mall located in Myrtle Beach next to the Myrtle Beach Airport. This is the second largest mall in the state with 1,047,732 square feet of retail space. The mall is one level, but has lot of amazing stores to choose from. It opened up in 2004, its featured store are Dillards, Belk, Dick’s Sporting Good, JC Penny’s, and Sears. The mall houses over 170 specialty stores, with notable stores being Abercrombie and Fitch, Old Navy, and Buckle. There is also a 14-screen movie theater, and an arcade for the kids that are both located in the food court of the mall. There are also some really good restaurants located on the outside of the mall if you are hungry when you get done shopping.
