Many popular bands will be in and around Main Street as well as shag dance instructors for anyone wanting to learn this timeless dance. Club members of the ACSC will also have scheduled ‘tea parties’ inside local lounges. During the SOS Safari, many of these lounges have dedicated special parties which are really neat to check out if you have never seen one before.

While these daytime attractions keep everyone moving, the part that everyone wants to keep grooving, is to the music itself. When the sun goes down, that is when you will find the real reason why people come out for SOS Safari. Main street is the place to be this week for all the shag dancing your body can handle. From Harold’s on the Ocean to the OD Arcade, take a minute to stop in a see for yourself why this has become such an admired festival.

The final Saturday culminates in a Main Street parade. Members from the ACSC plan, design and build all the floats and awards are given out at the end. This parade always draws a nice crowd and is filled with fun and good local music.
