Every Thursday night this August in downtown North Myrtle Beach. Free outdoor shows from 7 to 9PM perfect for family fun!

This August, enjoy live music every Thursday evening from 7 to 9PM at the City of North Myrtle Beach’s Music on Main concert series. Held at the Horseshoe on Main Street, these free, family-friendly shows feature a rotating lineup of bands playing beach music, R&B, rock, and country. A little something for everyone! Music on Main has become a beloved tradition for locals and visitors alike. Perfect for relaxing with your loved ones and enjoying warm ocean breezes, great music, and a classic North Myrtle Beach summer night.

Remember to bring your beach chair, golf cart and good vibes! Be sure to come early, parking lots close by 2 PM for setup, and some street closures begin mid-afternoon.

 BAREFOOT LANDING SUMMERFEST

Part of Barefoot Landing’s SummerFest series, this weekly fireworks display lights up the night sky over the scenic lake in the heart of North Myrtle Beach. Families gather along the waterfront for an unforgettable evening that includes live music, street performers, and a vibrant festival atmosphere. Come early to shop, dine, or grab ice cream before the show begins. It's a classic beach tradition perfect for all ages!

Schedule: Mondays at 10 PM, every week from June 2 through August 25, 2025

Location: Over the lake at Barefoot Landing, 4898 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach.

 BROADWAY AT THE BEACH SUMMER FIREWORKS

Just a quick drive from North Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach is a family-favorite destination packed with fun and every Tuesday night in August, it ends with a spectacular fireworks show over the lake at its center. Only one mile from the Atlantic Ocean, you can enjoy a full evening of entertainment including amusement rides for kids, mini golf, WonderWorks, boat rides, and more before the sky lights up with color.

The fireworks are part of the popular Summer Nights series, and the whole area buzzes with energy from waterfront dining to carnival-style treats like funnel cakes and ice cream. With the lake shimmering beneath the fireworks and ocean air drifting in, it’s the perfect way to cap off a summer night on the Grand Strand.

Schedule: Tuesdays at 10 PM, every week from June 3 through August 26, 2025

Location: Broadway at the Beach, Myrtle Beach (about 15 minutes south of North Myrtle)

While most August shows are regular weekly displays, keep an eye out on local sites for special holiday events or additional pop-up shows (especially around special dates or weekends). However, no one-off beach fireworks are currently scheduled for August beyond the regular weekly shows.

Arrive early: Waterfront viewing spots fill up fast—bring chairs or blankets.

Check weather: Fireworks are weather-dependent; events may be canceled if conditions are unsafe.

Bring a blanket, beach chairs, and your favorite people and settle in for Family Movie Night under the stars at McLean Park! This beloved North Myrtle Beach tradition turns the park into an open-air movie theater, where a giant screen lights up the night with fun, family-friendly films. The movies are typically rated G or PG, making this a perfect evening outing for kids and adults alike.
