Celebrating a Myrtle Beach Labor Day

Just like that summer is coming to an end. There is nothing like celebrating the last bit of warm weather like having a big summer blowout vacation in North Myrtle Beach. Labor Day weekend is full of fun, excitement, and of course warm weather in the Myrtle Beach Area. From fireworks to waterpark trips, there is plenty to do and see as we bid summer fair well. No matter what you are interested in doing, Myrtle Beach has it all. Here are a few of our favorite things to do as we kick off the new season with this holiday weekend and end of summer bash.

Fireworks Show

What better way to celebrate a holiday than see beautiful fireworks. Even better, you don’t have to purchase or be in charge of the fireworks, you just get to enjoy them. There are several places throughout North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach that offer a great firework show. You can see some at Barefoot Landing, Broadway at the beach, or even the Pelicans stadium. Barefoot and Broadway both offer a great shopping and dining experience as well as live entertainment and live music. There’s nothing quite like a dinner and a show. Many restaurants located in Barefoot Landing will be overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.

Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival

For those looking for a family-style event, the beach buggy and barbecue festival is for you. Head down to Grand Park on Friday and Saturday for this weekend tradition that’s been going on for decades. Bring your best barbecue skills or just come to taste others’ perfected BBQ recipes. This is one of the hottest events on the Grand Strand. Experience a variety of different foods such as smoked pork, chicken wings, ribs, and much more. The festival will also have live music, as well as local vendors, and even boat rides. Taste the best of the best BBQ in South Carolina, all located in one area.

Mustang Week

If you’re a classic car lover, this is the weekend getaway you need. Drive up and down Ocean Boulevard and see the classic American muscle car every place you look. People come from all over to show off their vintage mustangs and hang out with others who share their classic car passion. This car show is an eye-catching, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

La Belle Amie Vineyard

Enjoy a couple of glasses of local wine and good times at this serene vineyard in Little River. Come to their annual Labor Day fest featuring live music, delicious food, dancing, and of course the best one around town. This is something you don’t want to miss. The party starts around noon and ends roughly around 5 pm.

Waterparks Galore

Splish and splash one last time to close out the season. From Wild Water to Myrtle Waves and the Family Kingdom. Enjoy an oceanfront water park, or ride the lazy river while your family zips down the speed slides. This will be the trill that everyone talks about when they go back to school. Make sure to stop by during your trip as the waterparks are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

There is nothing quite like cruising down the boardwalk with a nice ice cream cone and salty wind hitting your hair. Close out the summer exploring the exhilarating arcade games, live music, and even stilt walkers. Walk the entire stretch that is 1.5 miles long, or just explore a small section of it. You won’t be disappointed.

No matter what you decide to do in North Myrtle Beach this Laby Day you will have a great time. Enjoy your last few summer nights drinking craft beer on the marsh in Murrells Inlet, or catch a firework show in North Myrtle. We hope to see you soon in North Myrtle Beach Labor Day weekend.
