Umberto’s at Barefoot Landing

Real food from fresh ingredients—that’s the Umberto’s motto. A homey Italian steakhouse, this Barefoot Landing classic is the second location for the Pittsburg family and truly embraces the tradition of Italian dining. Each meal begins with Italian beans and salad, followed by a pasta course smothered in Umberto’s signature marinara. As a steakhouse, meats are where Umberto’s really shines, with favorites including the “veal antonio”, “chicken umberto”spring lamb chops, and charbroiled New York strip steak. Chianti South

You’ll feel right at home at Chianti South, which is located among ancient oaks in a historic old home that was built over 100 years ago. The charming, historic setting makes a unique atmosphere for a decadent Italian kitchen.

The thoughtfully designed menu takes a creative, modern approach to Italian cuisine, with items like the “prosciutto di parma e melone”—which translates into a delicious combination of salty and sweet with prosciutto with melon and honey. You’ll recognize many of the entrees, which just add a little “something special” to the traditional approaches.

Recommended dishes include the tagliatelle with Italian sausage in tomato cream, homemade gnocchi with vegetable sauce, and the “Cotoletta Di Vitello”—Chianti’s signature veal chop. Don’t forget to pair your entree with a selection from the award-winning wine list!
