Water parks are centers of recreation, fun, happiness and a great time – and for a great example of that, you must check out the water park-hybrid at the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. Shark Wake Park is home to an enormous suspended playground/ obstacle course and more on a freshwater lake! This water park is open to the general public, across from the baseball fields, since June 2017.
The state-of-the-art aqua park is home to two separate attractions – Cable Park and Obstacle Island – as well as the Shark Shack concession stand, and epic summer camp opportunities. Cable Park offers watersports for all skill levels, including wake boarding, knee boarding, water skiing, wake skating, and foil boarding. Obstacle Island is a floating playground featuring monkey bars, climbing towers, slides and more. Children must be at least 7 years old, 45” tall and know how to swim to take advantage of the course.
A 2-hour Cable Ticket runs $35, or play all day for just $55. Gear costs extra. A 50-minute pass for Obstacle Island costs $25. The Twilight Pass offers unlimited play from 4PM-7PM for $30. Parking is free, and the park is open seasonally.
