Romantic Cruise

If you and your significant other are water fanatics, pencil in a romantic cruise during your beach getaway. North Myrtle Beach offers a few different options for getting out and enjoying the water. Dolphin cruises are a great way to get up close and personal with some of nature’s most majestic creatures, and Sea Thunder offers a great cruise for under $30 / person. The entire experience lasts about 2 hours, with a guided journey up the Intracoastal Waterway and out into the deep blue sea. North Star is another cruise option that offers private sailing charters. They offer everything from private sailing lessons to romantic sunset cruises, which includes three hours on the water and catered hors d’oeuvres. These cruises start on the Intracoastal and explore the Cherry Grove portion of the beach at sea. If you’re up for an adventure, try a guided jet ski dolphin tour instead. Island Water Adventures offers this unique service where guests can cruise the coastline searching for wild dolphins with a little free time built in for cruising. This option is ideal for water sports enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike.
Couple’s Massage
If you’re looking for a great way to relax and unwind during your romantic getaway, book a rejuvenating massage at a local spa. Whether you want a short 30-minute session to reboot during your stay or a day-long spa experience, there’s a salon for you. Our personal favorite is Cinzia Spa, which offers all of the bells and whistles you could hope for in an upscale boutique spa—a eucalyptus-infused steam room, an outdoor garden sanctuary, a meditation lounge, and just about every service imaginable to pamper you from head to toe. Of course, there are plenty of other options if you’re looking for a different experience. Check out our guide to North Myrtle Beach spas for a complete list.
Catch a Sunrise or Sunset
There’s truly nothing more romantic than cozying up and watching a sunrise or sunset no matter where you are—but the experience is somehow even more magical at the beach. As an east coast destination, Myrtle Beach is a prime spot for beach sunrises over the Atlantic Ocean. The time of day you’ll need to hit the beach varies throughout the year, so be sure to check the local time and weather prior to departure. Of course, you won’t have to go far with an oceanview or oceanfront beach rental. You could even enjoy the sunrise from your patio without having to leave the comfort of home. Sunsets are also quite beautiful at the beach, you’ll just have to scope out a western-facing venue. We recommend grabbing a spot along the Intracoastal Waterway at Barefoot Landing.
