When planning your trip to North Myrtle Beach on the South Carolina coast, you’ll find yourself in one of the best surf spots in the Eastern United States for new surfers. On a typical day, the waves are of average size, making it easier for the first-timers and less experienced surfers to navigate the waters easily and still have a great time.

The knee-high waves are well-suited to body surfing, which is the best place to start for those who want to become good stand-up surfers. If you have a bit of experience and would like to try stand-up surfing, you can keep tabs on the waves and surf reports at Surf-Forecast to determine the appropriate time to hit the water. Look for breaks exceeding two-to-three feet to make sure you’re poised for a successful experience. You should also pay attention to life guard warning flags as an indication of potential hazards.

Explore The Best Myrtle Beach Area Par 3 Courses

With North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach being one of the largest golf markets in the world, it has its fair share of spectacular golf courses. There are courses for all levels of golf, from beginner to expert level courses. Not only do we have a ton of mini-golf courses, but Myrtle Beach is also home to over 100 championship golf courses. However, it gets better. There are 4 executive of Par 3 courses as well. The par three courses are not only fun but they are also quite challenging for a golfer of any level. 

Since the par-three courses are much shorter in distance, it can be played in as little as two clubs. However, if you are traveling and don’t have room for your own clubs, do not fret. Each golf course has its own clubhouse with rental clubs. You can choose between the option of playing 9 holes or 18 holes depending on how much time you have to play. Par three courses are also nice because many of them have their own driving range attached to them.
