There are 16 public launch points along the 100-mile Waccamaw River, including natural launch areas like the Wortham’s Ferry access area at the Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve and more formal boat landings like the Chris Anderson Landing at Highway 9 (which marks the official start of the trail) and Cox Ferry Lake at the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.
